The Simple Woman's Daybook

FOR TODAY, October 18, 2011

Outside my window... it is sunny, a warm 60 degrees; the perfect fall day.
I am thinking...
it’s the perfect day for my daughter’s senior picture appointment.
I am thankful for... last week’s trip to Boston with Mike. The weather was perfect, I loved the history, seafood, beauty of the Harbor, and spending time with my husband!
From the kitchen...we had Bertolli’s Chicken Florentine & Farfalle frozen dinner and fruit salad last night and due to our schedule I think we’re eating out tonight.
I am wearing...skinny jeans, a black v-neck tee, my brown cardigan and cheetah flats
I am creating...some new blog posts. I haven’t written in several weeks.
I am going…to help at the high school during lunch tomorrow-we’re selling “scholarship notebooks”.
I am reading...Verla Jean Learns to Drive-still. I need to hurry so I can begin my book club selection.
I am hoping...my daughter gets good news from the University she applied to.
I am hearing...my little refrigerator/freezer-it must be alive.
Around the studio/house…It’s tidy and looks like fall with the pumpkin and leaves on the table. I got to decorate my Illinois home when I was back there a week ago.
One of my favorite things…getting dressed up and going out to dinner with my hubby.
A few plans for the rest of the week: Thursday is a MOPS morning (I love mentoring), and Friday Sarah and I are driving over to Spokane for Whitworth parent’s weekend to be with T.J.
Here is picture for thought I am sharing...

  1. I remember my daughter's senior year in high school, and getting ready for college. She's a senior again, getting ready for graduation and her bachelor degree come May. How time flies.

Have a blessed rest of your week.

  2. Thanks Arlene. Time does fly! Two of her older siblings have already graduated from college-how can that be?!
